Specialty Industrial Components
“Spike Proofing” “Self-Heal Activation” and “Capacitor Ageing”
Spike proofing subjects each component to voltages 50% over their nominal working voltage, ensuring components are capable of comfortably withstanding voltage spikes during operation. Self-heal activation ‘clears’ the capacitors, by activating the inherent self-healing properties of polypropylene film capacitors. The ‘ageing’ process guarantees that there will be no crackling in audio applications and no failures when in operation. This process isolates any microscopic weak areas and is essential for use in crucial signal paths.
